Patio Paint Manufacturers
A tired, stained patio is one of the most common weekend frustrations for homeowners and property managers alike. As a patio paint manufacturer, we produce industrial-grade non-slip coatings for paths, patios, paving slabs and outdoor concrete surfaces.
Our single-pack polyurethane enamel formula contains pre-mixed aggregate for genuine grip underfoot. It resists frost, rain, UV fading and general wear without peeling or chalking. Available in 10 stock colours in 1, 2.5 and 5 litre sizes. For larger orders, we can manufacture BS 4800, BS 381 C and RAL Classic colours, also available in 20 litre drums.

Patio Paint Suppliers
Most patio paint suppliers sell a decorative product with grip as an afterthought. Our approach is the other way around. The anti-slip aggregate comes pre-mixed in the paint. Grip is built into the formula, not brushed on separately.
This matters for outdoor surfaces. A patio or paved area gets rained on a lot in the UK. A coating without proper aggregate becomes a liability in winter, particularly on steps and slopes.
Our patio paint range suits these surfaces and situations:
- Concrete and cement patio slabs, new and previously painted
- Paving brick and block paving surfaces
- Communal paths and outdoor areas at commercial and residential properties
- Garden and leisure areas where a fresh colour and safer surface are both needed

Non Slip Paving Paint
Non slip paving paint does two jobs simultaneously. It refreshes the look of a tired outdoor surface and adds meaningful grip where it matters most. Those two things aren’t always combined well in standard garden centre products, which tend to prioritise appearance and underdeliver on durability.
Our formula is built on a polyurethane enamel resin base. That gives it genuine weather resistance through a UK winter. Frost, standing water, freeze-thaw cycles and persistent damp are all conditions it’s designed to handle without cracking or lifting.
What makes it different from standard decorative patio paint:
- Pre-mixed aggregate provides consistent grip across the entire surface
- Colour-stable formula maintains appearance through seasonal weather changes
- Suitable for brush and roller application (no specialist equipment needed)
- Overcoatable over existing sound paintwork on suitably prepared surfaces
- Available in any RAL or BS colour, mixed to order

Outdoor Path Paint for Commercial and Residential Properties
Outdoor path paint requirements differ significantly between a domestic back garden and a commercial car park or communal housing estate. The surface area is larger. The foot traffic is heavier. The consequences of a slip are more serious from a liability standpoint.
Our patio and path coatings suit both contexts. For domestic use, they’re straightforward to apply over a weekend with standard rollers and brushes. For commercial and managed properties, bulk ordering is available with volume discounts. Our team can advise on the right preparation and application approach for larger areas.
Commercial and managed property applications we regularly supply:
- Housing association communal paths and external stairways
- Care home and assisted living facility external walkways
- School and nursery playground paths and entrance areas
- Local authority public path and pavement maintenance programmes
For a bulk quote on a larger project, send us your area size and surface details and we’ll come back with a price.

FAQS
Can patio paint be applied directly to old, previously painted paving slabs?
In most cases, yes, patio paint can be applied directly to old, previously painted paving slabs. Provided the existing coating is well-adhered and free from loose or flaking paint.
Wash the surface thoroughly, allow it to dry completely and lightly abrade any glossy areas before applying. If the existing coating is peeling or poorly bonded, remove it first. Painting over a failing coat simply adds another layer that will lift with it.
What’s the best weather to apply patio paint, and can it be used in winter?
Apply patio paint in dry conditions above 10°C, ideally with a dry forecast for at least 72 hours after application. Avoid applying in direct strong sunlight, which can cause the surface to skin too quickly. Winter application is possible during mild spells but frost overnight during the cure period will damage the finish. Always check the overnight forecast before starting.
Does patio paint work on block paving as well as flat concrete slabs?
Yes, patio paint does work on block paving as well as flat concrete slabs. Though block paving presents more surface variation and more joints to work into.
A brush is more effective than a roller for working paint into the edges and recesses between blocks. Coverage per litre will also be slightly lower on textured block paving than on smooth concrete. So, factor that into your quantities when ordering.
Will patio paint stop weeds coming through paving joints?
No, patio paint coats the surface of the slabs but won’t fill or seal the joints themselves. Weeds grow through joints in the substrate, not through the paint. Treat joints with a proprietary weed killer and fill any wide gaps with jointing compound before painting if weed growth is a problem. The paint will then cover the treated surface cleanly.
